With winter right around the corner, I thought I give you a little
tip to help keep you outside pet's health, especial cats.
This helps in door cats too, as you read on you'll see why.
During the winter it becomes increasingly hard for pets to get
fresh water with it freezing.
One way to combat this and to help keep your pet health is to mix
water into their caned food.
This helps them replace some of the water they can't find and will
help them not to become dehydrated and develop kidney problems.
This also helps to keep their kidneys flushed and to prevent
infections, especially in cats; they usually don't get enough water
away.
We do this year around for this reason which seem to help us keep
kidneys infections down, as you know we take care of around 40 cats
and this is a big plus in keeping vet bills down.
Cats are known to have problem in their urinary tracks.
This is just a simple thing to do but can be a great thing to do
for your pet and you pocket book too!
Just remember mix a little water in, make it just a little soupy,
play with it a bit and you'll figure out about how much to mix in.
This could mean the difference between a health cats and a sick
cat, if they are outside in hard winter months.
Till next time keep health and happy!
